"What is your beauty esthetic? How would you describe your style?"

The best way to describe my style is clean, chic and classic beauty with a modern twist. Time tested beauty that is enhanced with the most advanced tools and techniques. I personally love gently enhanced skintones, organic hairstyles, softly defined features, and pretty skin.

"What is your beauty process, and what does your service include for each lady?"

Each booked makeup application includes airbrush makeup and faux lash application, if desired. I am also known for my unique, signature individual eyelash design technique. I customize eyelash looks using lightweight, super comfortable individual faux eyelashes (you can't even feel them!) that suit any woman's eye shape and desired level of drama from very natural, to full and dramatic.

Each hair service includes professional styling with the very best in styling techniques and haircare products, with a design to suit your and your ladies’ individual needs. I specialize in beautiful updos, braids and intricately designed upstyles, as well as gorgeous down styles. While I focus on clean, classic beauty, I can create any hair or makeup look-tailored to each person's unique features, style and level of comfort.

"What kinds of products do you use?"

Only the very best hair and makeup tools and products make it into my professional kit. Each one has been specifically chosen by me for their tried and true performance, and beautiful results. I use all prestige and professional makeup brands such as NARS, MAKEUP FOREVER, Laura Mercier, MAC, Tarte, Stila, Kevyn Aucoin, Bobbi Brown, YSL, Chanel, Temptu Pro, Ben Nye, Inglot, Kryolan, Cinema Secrets, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Graftobian, Ellis Faas, and Charlotte Tilbury-just to name a few-as well as products from my own line of branded cosmetics. I believe that all beautiful makeup starts with great skin prep, and I only use very gentle, fragrance free cleansers and prep products from skin conscious brands such as Arbonne, Embryolisse, Bioderma,  Cera Ve, and Tatcha. For hair I am partial to the styling products from Oribe, Kenra, Aquage , Schwarzkopf, Davines, Bumble and Bumble and TIGI.

"What is airbrush makeup, and do I need it?"

An airbrush is a tool that micronizes liquid makeup into a fine spray that allows for a more controlled application and manageable coverage.

I use my airbrush just as I do any other brush in my kit, and I reach for it when I need to really finely edit an area of the skin, or perfect certain areas that may require a bit more coverage. Sort of the way a photographer edits imperfections in a photo. My particular style of application is to custom create a foundation for my clients based on their particular needs, and I use my airbrush to perfect it as needed. The foundation I most often use in my airbrush is by TEMPTU-it is professional formula that looks just like skin, only better, and has a very long wear and beautiful finish.

"Tell me more about false eyelashes...Do I need them?"

I don’t believe that anyone necessarily needs false lashes, however, I do love the way a lush lash completes any look! I have become known for my technique for creating soft, wearable lash looks that feel weightless on the eyes using individual faux eyelashes. I custom design lash looks to suit every face that I work with. Unlike a strip lash, they feel less heavy, and they look completely natural. My lash design work is included with every makeup application. They are long wearing, however they are easily removed at the end of the day with eye makeup remover and/or your regular facial cleanser.

"Do you offer tattoo coverage?"

I do! Tattoo coverage is a time consuming process that takes a lot of work when done correctly, and with the proper technique, can yield very long lasting and transfer resistant results.  I use alcohol based color correctors and airbrush makeup that create a water resistant and transfer resistant finish that requires no additional touch up. I require a signed release of liability with each tattoo coverage service. Note: As with any makeup or cosmetic that is designed to be water resistant it may not be completely heat or sweat proof, therefore I can not 100% guarantee its permanence or that over time it may not transfer to other areas of your skin or clothing with heat, sweat or natural elements such as weather, friction or sun exposure.

"Do you Have an assistant fee?"

I take pride in my work, and my brand, and do not utilize assistants. When needed, I team up with only the very best professional hair and makeup artists in the area. With enough notice, I can create as big a team of beauty professionals needed for your wedding day beauty services. A reservation and scheduling fee of $250 per additional artist will be added to your final balance due.

"What is included in your Bridal Beauty Trial Run session?"

This ‘dress rehearsal’ of your look is designed as a time for us to meet and consult in my studio and create a preview of your wedding day beauty. It is recommended that you connect with me to book your preview session appointment about two months before your big day when your photography timeline and wedding day details are established. At this time we will also finalize all of your wedding day details and plan your getting ready schedule based on your headcount for services, and upon your planner and photographer’s timelines. I will also photograph our session and provide you with beautiful portraits of of your look after we meet to aid us in discussing your look and fine tuning it to wedding day perfection.

"Some of my ladies only want their hair OR makeup done...which do you recommend?"

If you must choose between hair OR makeup when deciding to reserve my services for your wedding day, I highly recommend choosing my professional makeup service. I also understand that we all have long-standing relationships with our hairstylists, and many of my brides use theirs for their wedding day hair design.

In the case that my brides have a larger party, I prefer to design her entire hair and makeup look when possible, and service her ladies for makeup only. Most of my brides then either bring their own hairstylist for her ladies, and leave the makeup up to me. I work with many full time professional bridal stylists, and I am happy to secure one of my partner's services for you for an additional booking and scheduling fee.

"What is included in your Full Service Bridal Beauty Package option? Won’t my hair and makeup look last?"

I have perfected the art of creating a long lasting hair and makeup design to suit any environment and situation. However, I have found it to be the most beneficial to your overall experience to remain with you longer than after the final makeup and hair services are completed.  This allows me to be with you throughout your wedding day portraits to be sure that your look remains just as it did at completion before and after your ceremony. I will be on hand to remove your veil if you have one, keep you fresh between kisses and hugs, and touch you and your tears of joy up after your “I Do’s” . This service is especially beneficial during the hotter months, if you are doing any pre-ceremony photography, or if you and your groom will be seeing each other before the ceremony, (ie: a first glance, or first look-which both typically happen hours before you even walk down the aisle).

I just believe that my best service goes beyond the bridal beauty process, and I want my brides to have the very best beauty and photography experience possible. My brides love it, and so do their photographers and planners!

"How much time is included in The Full Service Package?"

I will remain with you for three additional hours after your final service is complete to keep your look picture-perfect during your bridal party portraits, and/or first look. I will also be there after your ceremony for touch ups and to refresh your makeup for any additional portraits. Although my brides don’t usually need me to stay past family photos, you are more welcome to hire me to remain with you at my hourly rate.

"My wedding starts early, and my ladies and I need to be ready very early. Is there an additional charge for your time?"

For services that must begin before 8 am there is a $100 fee added to your balance due.

"How will you work with my wedding timeline?"

As part of my service to you, I will create a getting ready schedule for you based on your final headcount for hair and makeup services, and your photography schedule. I schedule each hair or makeup service for 45 minutes, and I need 20 minutes to set up before starting your services, and 20 minutes for finishing touches before you and your ladies get dressed. If you wish to start later or expedite this process, I can secure and schedule a second artist to help me, which may require an additional fee depending on your location, and the size of your party.

"Do you have a Stand by/hourly rate?"

In the event that your services start later than my arrival and set up time that we have agreed upon, there will be a fee of $100 per hour assessed. You can also hire me at my hourly rate to add more time with me for touch ups and assistance.

"What is your travel rate, and how do you calculate it?"

My service includes all local travel, valet and parking fees, and travel for up to half an hour to and from your location within the Sacramento area. I use my $100 hourly rate to determine my travel fee on a case by case basis depending on the location of your venue, the time I will need to be away from my studio to travel to and from your location. Hotel accommodations may be required depending on your location and start time.

"What forms of payment do you accept?"

I accept all major credit cards and debit cards for payment with my contract when reserving your wedding date. I accept cash, check or credit card payment for all studio services, as well as for final payment of your wedding day services. Wedding day payment must be made in one full payment. Individual payments form your attendees will not be accepted on the wedding day. Should your ladies prefer to pay for their own services, please collect their payments prior to my arrival and service.

"When should I book your services, and will you hold my date?"

No wedding date is held without a signed contract and date retainer in place, and all dates are first come (or first signed!) first served.  Due to my limited availability and established bridal business, just like your venue or photographer my dates book up VERY fast-sometimes even a year or more out. It is  recommended that you reserve your date right away if you feel my that the service I provide meets your needs, and I if I am able to accommodate you.  All rates are subject to change, and all services will be booked at the rate that is current at the time of your date reservation.

"What is the next step if I want to secure my date?"

If you are ready to reserve your date I will send over my e-contract for you to complete with your wedding day details and your headcount for hair and makeup services.

50% of the BRIDES’s services are due with a contract to reserve your wedding date. I use a super easy-to use e-contract, so booking your date is quick, and my service with you- and nobody else on your wedding date- is secure.  The remaining balance for all booked services and any other applicable fees will be due on your wedding day via cash or check.
