I start every makeup session with a thorough skin prep designed for your needs, and I create custom blended complexions for global tones. My goal is to create looks that are as flawless in person as they are in photos-with minimal products, that deliver maximum results. If faux lashes or my airbrush are used to achieve your look, they are always included in my service at no additional cost to you. Each makeup service I provide is as unique as the individual in my chair. My pro kit is carefully curated and stocked to accommodate any age, stage, tone, type, and need.
DO YOU USE AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?
I use both traditional and airbrush techniques in my work, and I often combine them to create my looks. My airbrush allows me to build coverage where needed with fine layers of product, so I usually reach for it for more hard-to-cover situations. I use a pro formula in mine that is long wearing, comfortable. Just like every foundation I work with, it looks like skin, only better. An airbrush is a tool, not a product, so its superiority to traditional foundation is relative, and depends on the talent and experience of artist behind it! I think of my airbrush as any other important brush or tool in my kit, much like the way a photographer might use different lenses and tools to create and refine an image to achieve their desired result.
DO YOU USE FALSE LASHES?
I love a way a lash can enhance even the most natural makeup. I create custom temporary lash looks that are comfortable and natural looking, and they photograph beautifully. My lashes and design service are included with every makeup application.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CRUELTY FREE?
Vegan and cruelty free options are always available, by request.
WHAT DOES YOUR HAIR SERVICE INCLUDE?
I specialize in creating beautiful up and down styles, with a focus on long wear, comfort (and of course, timeless beauty) for photography. Braids, twists, and romantic up-styles are my specialty, and each of my hairstyles are expertly prepped and coiffed using only the best prestige and professional tools and products required to maximize your hair's styling potential.
Many of the styles you see in my portfolios are created with clip in hair extensions, and faux hair pieces. I'm happy to consult with you to help you determine what will be needed to achieve your desired look, and direct you to the right resources for purchasing any faux pieces that will be required to achieve your desired style.
I'm an independent artist-not a cosmetologist-and I do not provide cuts, color, or any other barbering or salon services.
WHAT KIND OF PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
If you follow me on social media, you'll know how obsessed I am with the cleanliness, organization, and beauty of my beloved pro kit. Only the best prestige and professional brands make the cut, and I definitely have my tried and true favorites that I've used for years to create the natural, long lasting beauty work you'll see in my portfolios. Some brand names you may recognize in my makeup and hair kit- Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford, MAC, NARS, Stila, Becca, Hourglass, Face Atelier, Laura Mercier, Christian Dior, Davines, Oribe, R & Co, Bumble and Bumble, to name a few. I also use pro-preferred, performance driven professional brands and products like TEMPTU Pro Airbrush makeup, Kryolan, Viseart Paris, Alcone New York, and Ben Nye.
DO YOU WORK WITH HAIR EXTENSIONS?
I do! I love using faux hair, and in fact, many of the hair designs you'll see in my portfolio and social media platforms are created using hair extensions and pieces. I'm here to help you decide what will be best for your desired look.
DO YOU MIND IF I WORK WITH MY OWN HAIRSTYLIST?
Not at all! For brides with larger parties, I'm often hired for makeup only. If your hairstylist is experienced with weddings and the needs of bridal styling (and if they work with a contract!) you're more than welcome to meet my booking minimum with makeup services only.
HOW MUCH TIME WILL YOU NEED TO COMPLETE MY SERVICES?
Most of my services require 45-60 minutes each, hair or makeup. 1.5/2 hrs for both.
DO YOU OFFER BRIDAL TRIAL SESSIONS?
I’m available in my Midtown Sacramento studio for trial session services by appointment Tuesday-Thursday only. For best results, reserve your wedding date while it’s available, then book your trial session 2-3 months before your wedding day.
Hair and Makeup Trial: $250
Makeup Only Trial: $125
DO YOU REQUIRE A CONTRACT?
Absolutely! I field at least one call a week from panicked clients, brides and wedding planners that have "a friend that does makeup" that cancelled last minute (AKA: there was no contract).
My service is not secured and your wedding date or studio appointment will not be held or reserved without a signed contract and date retainer of 50% of your contracted/scheduled hair and makeup services. This ensures that you are my only commitment, and that I am absolutely going to be there.
DO YOU WORK WITH A TEAM?
I'm an independent freelance artist, and I can accommodate up to six total hair or makeup services on my own without assistance. While I most often work with my bride alone, and perhaps a few of her VIPs on her wedding day, I can build a team from my exclusive network of preferred bridal beauty professionals to accommodate any size party.
My fee to vet, secure, arrange and schedule my team is $250 per artist required to accommodate your contracted services. Additional travel and transfer fees may apply.
WHAT IS YOUR TRAVEL FEE?
My service includes up to an an hour of local roundtrip travel within Sacramento county. My travel fee beyond my included round trip is $125 an hour. Hotel reservations and per diem are required for all bookings requiring more than 3 total hours of travel time.
WHAT IF MY WEDDING VENUE ISN'T AVAILABLE FOR MY SERVICES?
If your venue isn't available at the time we'll need to begin your contracted services, you'll need to secure an alternate location, or we can work in my studio, located in midtown, Sacramento. Should you decide to transfer your services from point A to point B to accommodate your photography schedule, there is a $125 time, travel, and transfer fee per artist scheduled to come to your second location.
